There is no free download for 74 that I know of. Those normally had a box, under the hood, about the size of a horn relay, with a red reset button.

There are two wires going into that connector that are yellow/ yellow tracer. Cut them and splice them together.

If the car still won't fire investigate the neutral safety circuit.

First, hold the key to start while wiggling the shifter from neutral to park, and see if it clicks or cranks. If so, problem in linkage, adjustment, switch, or loose switch connector

If nothing, go out under the hood and locate the starter relay, like this:

http://classicnosparts.com/wp-conten...Relay%20SW.JPG

Identify the wire going to the neutral switch, will go from one "push on" connector down the firewall over the transmission to the NSS. The other wire goes into the bulkhead connector

Remove the wire going to the NSS, and clip that relay terminal to ground. CAREFUL make sure the trans is in neutral or park, see if it cranks. If so, trouble is "down below," wiring to switch, switch connector, switch, or adjustment

If it does not crank, see if the remaining "push on" connector is getting power when you twist the key to start. If so, replace the relay

well, I didn't get any responses here, but for anyone else interested in digital manuals, cdmanuals.net has an instant download option. I paid $29 for 1500 plus page manual that cover my Duster bumper to bumper! Gold mine!

fixd mine, replaced the safety plug near the trans linkage at the tranny, replaced the ballast resistor on the driver side fire wall. Should have a wire on the starter selinoid ( next to the ballast) going to the battery, red, to the starter, black or brown, to the trans safety switch, yellow, and to the ignition. I buckled my seatbelt but forgot to check if it works without it buckled.

Now I just have a bunch of dangling components on the single barrel s6 carb that I can't link back together, I can't find a clear enough picture.
