Question Engine Performance Tuners

I'm thinking of getting a performance tuner for my 2001 Ram 1500. I checked with Edge Performance but they don't make them for trucks that old or for 5.2L engines. Anyone got any suggestions?

You are limited to what a tuner can do because of the age of your truck but this may help

Is that from the lean burn system days? I seem to recall something like that

You can actually send your ECM out to be "tuned" based on the performance upgrades that you have instead of getting a programmer. There is a place in Texas that does it for $175 I think. Can't think of the name of the company though.

Guys thanks for carrying on the discussion while I couldn't answer. I've been getting ready to come back stateside so I haven't had time to get into the forums like I wanted to. I am definitely going to look into the tuner because I'll likely be buying a camper to tow with that truck and the 5.2 just doesn't have the horse right now.
Man, dual points! Been a looong time since I saw those and I miss 'em!
