Existing coil with electronic ignition...ok?

Switching over points system to electronic ignition on a 383 in a 66 dodge monaco .......I'm installing proform 361,383,400 conversion kit. Part no. 66993 at www.proformparts.com

someone mentioned to me that some of the older coils are not compatible with the electronic ignition systems. Different voltage levels Im guessing.

On my car is the delco remy part# 1115202 coil. Will I be ok to continue to use this with electronic system or do i Need to upgrade it.

Thanks
Glen

If your getting anything other than what the instructions say to operate the new system. Then it's going to give you trouble....

I finally got around to installing this HEI kit, I did switch out the coil with one I knew was for an electronic ignition. The car is back up and running again.

cheers
