Intake Manifold and Carburater Set up???

Guys I have to replace the intake and carburater set up on my recently acquired 440. It has 413 heads and is a stock 1978 casting. I was looking at the edelbrock dual plane intake with a 750. Any suggestions/comments would be helpful.

I'm building a street performer and just want reliability with moderate performance.

I'd get an Edelbrock performer carb to go with that intake. Sounds like a good choice to me.

I found a cc to ci formula on-line and it states a 700 should be max. What should I know about carb size to cubic inch ratios?

With a fairly stock build I would go with the Performer RPM and an edelbrock 1411 carb. Only thing about the performer rpm is its a highrise so might run ito problems with hood clearance. Drop down aircleaner might hit the electric choke (maybe go without the electric choke). They give all the measurments on the website so might need to double check them.

make sure your hood clears like they said
try putting something that'll squish easily on the air cleaner, then shut the hood, and see what happens
