isoclamp removal

isoclamp removal

i would like to remove the isoclamp system from my fifth avenue but dont know how. what parts do i need to use to do this and how do i do it?

Its a rubber doughnut sandwiched between the spring perch and the frame at the leaf springs. Either that or it is a piston return spring compressor.

no, no scott, you start mis informing polara and he gets all wound up. ok polara, an iso clamp, is the english venacular for a pair of large pliers that keep your but cheeks together while in an all male shower party, I.E. ISo clamp. say it with a little hint of aussie,. LOL craveman, if your referring to scotts descrip, then if you have a local weld shop, take the old 1 in to then and have them weld up a block of 3/16`s late, basically make it a solid spring mount, that will solve your prob. i know that the isolatores were bad about rotting out. the front k frame isolators were notorious for that,
