need some help with 318/360

Unhappy need some help with 318/360

I've been doin mud drags for the past 5 yrs,stock class.The man that kept the motor up n goin passed away a year ago.I ended up blowin the 318 n was wonderin can i pull the motor out n drop a 360 without havin to change the tranny n motor mounts.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the trans are the same. the only diff is the 360 is a externally ballanced so u need a diff converter..

where is the 360 motor going to be coming from? If your lucky enough to find a diplomat that has a 360 in it, it will be a pretty simple conversion. If the 360's coming out of a truck or van...eh' thats were the fun begins...im in the same situation

bein he's doin "mud drags" I'm bettin the engine is in a truck;
and on finding a Diplomat w/a 360; any Dip newer than 79, w/a 360 in it was a swap; newer than that the largest you could get from the factory, was a 318; you did have a choice between a 2 bbl and a 4 bbl but still a 318!
