Slant 6 swap to 318/340/360

In a 1972 demon, what's involved cost fabrication wise etc?

You may want to read this thread for some info - https://moparforums.com/forums/f75/t...ck-swaps-6730/

You should be able to just pull the slant 6 out and drop in a SB. Motor mounts, radiator, some wiring (maybe?), tranny and driveshaft depending on where the yoke ends up compair to where the old yoke use to be. Other than that, you'll want to upgrade the rear axle to at least an 8.25 if not larger. Anyone correct me if I am wrong.

If you can find a donor car with a 318/904 you should be able to pick up the Schumacher mounts and almost bolt it in. Then you need either manifolds, or headers. That of course will mean an exhaust. Radiator, and moving the Distributor wires to the rear...

Oh, if you want better handling, new Torsion Bars and Maybe rear springs, or rear end. What would be ideal is a 73-76 A-Body with a 318/904 for the swap. Just pull the body off the K-Frame, and rear springs, then drop your Demon right on, and use everything you can salvage from the donor car.

Good luck and post PIX! We like pictures
