transmission leak?

looking for some help with this leak. Started about 8 weeks ago and is a small drip. Noticed the spot in the garage. Seems to be at the area where the trans meets the drive shaft. Any thoughts are helpful..oh yeah it's a 68 Sat with a 904 LA..

The seal sounds like the issue to me, is it the original rear axle as the drive shaft looks like it's pushed in pretty far.

Yes, first you have to remove the driveshaft and then remove the old seal and then tap in a new one. It's just like any other oil seal.

jack up the back end and put some lack stands under it so that the back end is up in the air. if it is high enough, tranny fluid won't come out. make sure that you have a bucket under it though when you start.
