New leaf springs 79 powerwagon

Hello I have a 79 powerwagon that has a gm 10 bolt front differential on it. Not sure what kind of leaf springs to order? I just had the 318 in this truck fully rebuilt previous owner took tranny, t-case,and front differential off a 87 gmc I think. It has Warner locking hubs on it very nice truck just don't know much about this and buy no means. Thanks for your help and time.

Hello there I have a 79 power wagon w200 that has a gm10 bolt front defferental on it. Previous owner put tranny, t-case, and front defferental to swap from full time4x4 to part time from a 87gmc (I think)! My question is what front leaf springs do I order or does it really matter? I think the truck came with a Dana 44 but not sure thanks for any help or input on this. Iam not a mechanic buy any means

If you don't have the old springs to match..... Measure the Eye to Eye where the spring goes and Hit up you local spring repair shop.... They can get you a spring that will fit your need... The other question will be "Ride Height" they will tell you what is needed for that info.... Keep us posted...

The Ford engine train left our shop on the weekend (Ford son's engines on the trailer to his new house) our V10 Magnum back to us. One of the snowmobiles to Mom's and her rider back into our roomy shop. Welding up the cracked mowing deck last night so Ford son can have a rider for his now bigger property.

Looking forward to racing Dodge son's Demon, still have to build a fuel line cover through bellhousing area. Really looking forward to building the new/next engine with the high end parts I've collected over some time, shooting for 500hp 318 on this one.

I'm tubing the block and starting solid flat going solid roller next year is the plan. Showed the son a video of old Modified Production cars and he's all small cubes, big rpm, clutch for him now. I like his old soul.

Still wondering if to use hard water pipe or soft refrigerant copper, what do you guys think. I was told the water pipe won't crack.

And since its gonna be faster, Ill need to replace the puny drum brakes with some beefy discs up front. It was origanally silver with blue interrior but some one had started pretting it to repaint and stripped all the paint and never primed it. So it has surface rust all over the bodie, nothing serious. I figure itll make one hell of a sleeper. LOL
how is the poly running

Thanks for the great welcome, been out working on the Dart all day, quite original car, quite happy with it, want to read all I can and do a proper build on the car, also got a 360 as part of the deal so maybe down the road but 318 is a nice built so looking at changing up to 15" rims instead of the factory 14". Bolt circle seems really small so may be hard to find rims, will see what the site says.

Your Dart has the small 4.25 on 5 bolt pattern, if you swapped out the front brakes for 73 and latter disks and then got the axles and drums from the same car that would change your bolt pattern to the 5 on 4.5.

This would open up your wheel selection.

So 73 and later A body then I imagine you mean, do I heed spindles too, appreciate the help, wow 4.25 is small. So 5 on 4.50 is next step up.
