1952 Chrysler Dual Ghia Limo

Just a general musing that someone may fine helpful.

In the 70's bought this limo sitting in Venice,CA

Took it down to Palos Verdes and drove it to high school a little.

It had the early automatic that you clutched it to get going from a stop. Then it shifted automaticly the rest of the gears.

It was black. It had a spare that slide out from under trunk on a tray.

Cannot remember if it had a partition glass.Don't think so.

Finally sold it because you could not get parts for the early disc brakes.

They were called Girling.Used a ball and ramp system to spread TWO disks OUTWARD to drum surfaces.

Later in Mopardom I look back and see could have just gone and gotten drum brakes. Spindles.

Car might have been the same one from the movie Sabrina. With Humphrey Bogart and William Holder and Audrey Hepburn.

Because MGM was in Culver City near Venice. They had had an auction getting rid of everything about that time.

Limo had a hemi.Remember it as a 331.

Looked cool under the hood.

Well. Enjoy Mopardom!

Just remembered it had Merton wool grey carpet in back. When we got it a battery had leaked on it in one spot.Ouch!.
