340 running temp

mine runs at about 180-190. 200 on really super hot days but i also have a griffin radiator with dual fans that come on at 180. i would say 200 is about the hottest you want it. if it goes past 210 then pull over. just my opinion.

200 doesn't seem unreasonable, especially if you are running a 195 t-stat. as mentioned above, anything over 210 and it's time to cool it down!

try the 180, then if it still is a little hot, try the 160 before installing a flex fan

yeah i would say 160 may be to cool since 160 isnt hard to reach. especially with the tranny behind you running at like 200 or above. thats where my runs. 180 should be perfect with a clutch fan or a nice electric. like i said i have 2 electrics that come on together and the needle damn near falls down when they kik in.

not true
i run a 160 in my 440, and the engine usually runs at around 170, and in stop and go traffic in a 95 degree day, the engine never goes above 195
