360 mods

Just got the 360 from a ram charger and looking at the tranny next. My question is i read somewhere that the 360 bolts up no prob to the frame of the 37 plymouth. Ummmm dont really see that happening. Any ideas? Als owhat upgrades would i be able to do to make that 360 stretch and give me more umph?

Not sure about just dropping into a 37 Plymouth but for mods you can't go wrong with a 650 carb, dual plane intake, matching cam, ported/polished heads (from the late 60s I believe are the "better" sets) and a full, good flowing exhaust. Then you'll want to upgrade your tranny with a good clutch (if a manual) or a shift-kit and stall convertor (if an automatic). And let's not forget about the rear axle wanting a better set of gears and a suregrip. Then you need to get all that power to the ground and will need/want a good suspension set-up.

A lot of it depends on how much more power you want.

Just enough to go. It will be a show/sunday driver. Not a daily for sure. I found out that with te original mounts for the 360 it is WAY off. i will figure something out. As for the rear end i will have a Ford 9 in. and so far the tranny is up in the air. Looking for the ever elusive manual. As for the front end looking at a Mustang II. That is just for disc all around. All the other info sounds good and will look at it. Thanks!
