440 Alternator question

So the monster was supposed to be ready this past wednedsday butthe alternator froze and broke the 440 source aluminum pulley so waiting on that which should be in on Monday. My question is this, how bad would it be to drive this home as is and bring it back Monday for the new pulley. basicly driving it "drag set up" and charging the battery at the end of the day?
I just cant take the friggin anxiety over it anymore! lol
Thanks

You running V belts or serpentine? If you REALLY cannot get a replacement, some "real" parts stores have the tools/ puller to swap a pulley, you could buy a short belt (experiment) that you can pry over the crank/ pump pulleys so the water pump works.

2X on what 440roadrunner said, You can go a few miles without the alternator,as long as you don't use lights, heater etc. But going without a water pump is no good, you won't get too far! Broke a pulley? Please post a pic if you can!

Sorry, the shop threw it out but just wanted to clarify that it was the alternator and not the 440 source aluminum pulley at fault here. 440 source rocks!
