the 5th is done
i finally completed everything i had planned for my fifth ave. i picked up a tq the other day and on the way home my 2bbl quit working. while i was changing it on the side of the road i noticed a white 84 firebird under a car cover. i went and talked to the guy and he had cooked the motor and trans and the guy who was rebuilding it had stolen them and left the state. so i asked him if he would sell it and he asked how much i had. i only had 400 on me and he said good enough and handed me the title. thats the only time ive been happy my fifth ave let me down. if it wasnt so hard to find interior and body parts for the fifth as well as do performance upgrades i would keep working on that but firebirds are so easy to get parts for. and since pontiac is no more it may be worth something some day. this weekend im taking the fifth to the track to see what shell run in the quarter then shes just my parts getter. no im not becoming anti mopar im just tickled by anything american v8 and rear wheel drive, and it will match my firebird tattoo.
