I am doing a bench to bucket seat conversion in my 1974 Charger. I bought some buckets on CL last night and I want to test fit them. I noticed some of the studs on the buckets are cut/destroyed and need to be replaced. Are the outer brackets on the bench seat interchangeable with the outer brackets of the bucket seats? That would be too easy. How do I remove the old stud and replace it. Worse case scenario is I grind it off and drill it out and just use a bolt/washer/nut. TY.

 

Sounds like a good plan of attack to me.... show us some pictures as you make progress....

 

ONLY the driver's side. No provisions for the adjuster on the passenger side. Just make sure to use grade 8 hardware
