I've changed the distributor cam which helped the stalling for a moment, but then it went right back to where it was but not as bad. The only code the ECM is sending is 22,coolant temp gauge. I've replaced both but still haveing the same problem. Rough running and lack of power.
Anyone out there got any advice. P.S. odometer reading is only at 80,000

Code 22 means that the ECT sensor voltage is either too low or too high... annoying that both conditions don't have their own codes but, thats ODBI for ya.

Acceptable voltage range is 0.5V to 4.9V. You will need to use a meter and t-pins to back probe the ECT connector and determine which fault is taking place. HIGH (more than 4.9V) or LOW ( less than 0.5V).

Tan/Black is the signal circuit and Black/Light Blue is the ground circuit.

If this was an OBDII vehicle you could disconnect and short the ETC connector to confirm the wiring harness and ECU are is good order as you should get separate HIGH and LOW DTC codes
