Any Who-vians here?

The Dr. Who Christmas special starts at 8pm (cst) on BBC and just wondered if anyone else here is a Dr. Who fan?

Gotta say,
I was wrong about Matt smith as the Doctor,
I was dead set against him when he replaced David tenant, but he's a damn good Doctor, he had some huge shoes to fil, I think he pulled it off and its gonna be sad seeing him go, especially under the circumstances that he's leaving.

What do y'all think?

I have become a Doctor Who fan but never thought to call myself a Who-vian.

I must ask your favourite monster, I like a few but The Silence always creeped me out.
I always wondered what message I would leave myself knowing I wouldn't remember leaving it and what would I say to convince me it was me knowing I couldn't trust anything I was seeing.

Man I'm creeping myself out just thinking about this now.

The silence is creepy as h3ll, but the weeping angels have always freaked me out, not sure why, guess because they don't move until you look away, the whole idea leaves me wondering wth would I do in that situation, I can't run very fast backwards lol plus what if there's another behind me?

The Angels are my #2 don't likey. As far as Tenant and Smith, I like them both but Smith a bit more, maybe the character's quirkyness but probably because of the writers and the more evolved stories with more unexpected twists.

The one thing that I could never understand is how the most dangerous monster in the universe looks not much more than an upside down garbage can with a plunger sticking out of it. That always makes me laugh.

Lol Are you not a dr who fan Bob?

Yeah the daleks used the scare the heck outta me when I was a kid, between them and the cybermen I always wondered how they keep coming back and they never give up.
I'm not sure as Peter capaldi as the new Doc but I'm keeping an open mind...

ZP -

Wasn't a fan in the beginning, but liked what Tenant and more so what Smith did with the character. Probably shouldn't tell the Mrs. I kinda like it now (she's been a fan for decades, even met a few of the Doctors). I kept making fun of the salt shakers and lobster people...

Curious to see what the "new guy" does.

Loved the Christmas special. We've been fans since the 80s I think. Been watching since Christopher Eccleston ( SP? ) with my GF, including all the specials. I do believe David Tenant was my favorite of the modern Doctors. As far as monsters, I think it's a tossup between the Angels, and the Silence.

Now, what about companions? Amy Pond, or Clara Oswald? . I'd like BOTH plz LOL!

*EDIT*

almost forgot River Song...

Companions?

#3 Martha Jones. Very sexy.

#2 Rory williams and Amy Pond. The twists and turns and mystery with River Song made for " got to see the next one ".

#1 Donna Noble. The way they took a witless jabber mouth into a true friend and world saver was very enjoyable to watch. Sad how here career ended with not being able to remember any of it.
