Anyone else think this is fishy?

Got a email reply to a listing for my Fury, no way am I falling for this one!

***ok no problem, i will be offering $14,000 for the car. I am ready to buying it now for my Rev.Father and i am at sea at the moment as i am an oceanographer and due to the nature of my work, phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want the Vehicle to be a surprise for my Rev.Father so i wont let him know anything about the car until it gets delivered to him. i will be paying you with my PayPal, I insisted on paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it. If my mode of payment is acceptable just send me your paypal email address,(Paypal ID) so i can pay in right away. Make sure you get back to me so that i can make the payment. I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been made, so no shipping included. And if you dont have a paypal account, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com.ca and get it set up, after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through. have a pick up agent that will come and pick the car up after i have made the payments..

Thanks***

When I get emails like that I reply back with "I accept only and the buyer must be here to sign the proper paperwork. If you do not meet them guidelines, stop wating my time." I never seem to get a response back after that.

Its prob a Macro/bot of some sort it does not ask for any more info or refer to the car specifically. I have seen stuff like this with people and expensive dogs as well as other cars. Im not sure how but people pull these scams all the time, you can google stuff to look for.

Ask him if he can pay with Viagra or refinance your house. This is complete BS. Good call to stay away.

X3 on stay away!!!!!!!!

My brother had a simular but different one.. He was selling a small crane truck and the "buyer" was from the UK.. He was to send my brother a iers check that included the shipping fee. My brother was to the check and send the shipping fees to a "shipping company in South Florida... Needless to say he got the check and gave it to the local FBI because it was a federal crime for crossing state lines.. Nothing ever happened but at least he didn't get burned.... Better safe than sorry today the crooks have a lot of advantages.....

Tell him you will accept a check in the mail, personal, ier it dont matter. Tell him when the check clears you will arrange to ship the car (make sure he also pays what ever shipping costs) Tell him also that it may take a month or better for the check to clear. Bet you never here from him again.

Well the whole thing sounds a little goofy but you can't get screwed giving someone your email address other than a lot of spam. Give him your email account and your paypal password and you are really screwed but just the email address.....

Put the car up for sale on ebay, let him buy it with paypal from there, then everyone is protected as ebay/paypal will confirm payment has been made for you and will hold the payment from you for up to 21 days, waiting for confirmation of delivery to protect the buyer.

Ebay/Paypal is safe. Sell your car there.

That's when you hold the vehicle and request a check (amount of item sold) from PayPal, They get nothing until you get a valid Paypal check.

Look at it again, he's wanting you to set up a Pay Pal account in canada. (that's what the .ca after the pay pal URL is. Yea, it's a scam, I e-mailed one guy back and forth about 4 times like this just messing with him before I finally just laughed at his frustration at my not misunderstanding. If you answer him, and don't do just what he wants, the next letter will be demanding and mean, and just keep getting worse. Play with him, act like an idiot, and watch how he acts, but don't give him a Pay Pal.

Wish I thought of playing with him a bit first, that could have been a laugh! Simply told him only, bring two pieces of id, we go to the bank together any fake bills and I drag his *** across the street to he cop shop! Strangly he never replied to that!

I've had 6 of these emails in the past 3 days, all wanting the 'item' for a relative, sick mother, church function etc! The Nigerians must be getting board!

I've also had two phone calls from locals, got a guy coming buy tonight to look at it, may be a thousand dollaraire by the weekend!
