Back from the track

Well the old Dodge 340 did a little better tonight, not a lot but better.

Our fastest time...

Our Best Speed.

these are time trials not races. Oh, I got to line up with a '09 Cuda RT!!!!!
that was worth the trip right there!!

We are learning every time we go. Still need those gears. My Dads going to try and hook us up with an old mechanic friend. I have a 1962 GMC 4x4 that runs real well for trading stock..... well ya never know!

Joe.

This is an 1/8 mile track right?

Not to bad. The gears will help but you should get a limited slip as well in there. Both tires pushing the truck is much better than just one.

Yes 1/8th mile. I think I would do much better on a 1/4 mile as all my speed
is on the higher end. We are just coming out of 2nd gear as we cross the finish line.

It was a 5 miles per hour improvement over our first testing.

A better gear ratio will be the deciding factor whether we actually become competitive.

The majority of the street legal cars were running in the 9's and 10's.
That's were we would like to be.

We got two weeks to get her spinning the tires before the next race

Good job Barfly! Hey, even if you are not getting the times you want right now, you are still out there doing it, and that is a lot more than most people. You have a goal to work towards, and working towards that goal is half the fun. Also, you are learning a lot along the way and having a blast doing it. I look forward to your updates!

Oh geez! You are right, Challenger. I guess I was excited last night

Hey 67, that's exactly how I feel about it and a lesson I'm trying to teach my boy. If we had $50k to spend on a car we could go out and whip the world the first night, and what fun would that be? Learning to appreciate what you got, working hard to make it better and learning along the way.

And what the heck, we made the fun for some of those guys out there last night, after all they have to have someone to beat LOL

Getting closer and better

Make sure when you see the 3rd yellow light shine on, leave. Leave on green and you're late.

Oh, you should see some of the looks i get when I race some guys. "Oh look, a young kid!" then I kill them!

Just keep on practicing, and then soon enough you'll be able to show those guys up
