Blueprint Engine Bad Experience!!!

So, where do I start.

Did some research, looked to be the best option for $ at the time. Couple of months ago I bought:

Chrysler 493 Dressed Engine - BPC4931CTF = $9,299
HP & Torque: 525 HP / 590 FT LBS
Compression Ratio: 9.6:1
Aluminum Heads
Forged Pistons
Flat Tappet Cam
Forged Crank
*FAST Ez-EFI Injection system

Bad experience comes from Blueprint charging me for 'FAST Ez-EFI Injection system' they provided with the engine. If I split base engine price they have it listed on their web site from FAST Ez-EFI Injection system on summitracing (30227-KIT) <- which they sent me the kit in the box marked with that number, that comes out roughly to 9,299

Base Engine - 6,995
FAST Ez-EFI Injection system (30227-KIT) - 2,179
Total around 9,299

They over changed me by around $400 -they didn’t include these items with the kit:
  1. Hand-held device (yet they included the power cord for the hand-held device) – how and what for if held-held device is not included. (should be in the kit) roughly $190- can be bought separately on ebay looks like.
  2. Fuel-pump that should’ve came with it, which is included in (30227-KIT) - $160- summitracing
So, I called them and their only excuse was and I quote “The EFI system is custom and hand-held & pump are not included” So, I asked than “Why is power cord for hand-held sent to me and box that has kit # on it (30227-KIT) sent to me” - couple of paused moments later, same response as before, “This is a custom kit”

So it was pointless talking to them, since they want to screw people of their money. Since than, I have ‘0’ respect for them and will never deal with them again.

If you’re buying from them be wary, DON’T buy with FAST Ez-EFI Injection system they have, buy it separately. You will save a lot and get more.

Also, I heard that their warranty is basically NONE existant, they will blame you and charge you for repairs, even if it's not your fault.

Any experience you guys had with them, please post below.

Summit is a discount store.. so you can't compare prices.. As to what was included ?
Lack of communication As with any engine proper break in is very important

Yes, there migh've been some miscommunication, but sending a box with kit # on it and not providing all the parts that include in the kit, thats on them misrepresenting and not carring about the customers. I bet you that they're probably re-selling the hand-held unit separately, so they can get more money out of it.

I haven't purchased one, but I'm looking to purchase one in a month or two. One that I came up with at the moment is "Tremec TKO 600" come with Kit by http://americanpowertrain.com

IS this going to go into your Challenger? If so Don't forget Passon Performance. Last I had heard (At SEMA SHOW) they were working on a 5 speed for the E-Bodys.. And it's my understanding that the swap is not going to be to hard to do.....

https://www.passonperformance.com/

Keep us posted on what you do!!!!
Inquiring minds would like to know.....

Yep it's going into 70 Challenger, will post new pics soon. Yes, I was looking at Passon Performance, but 5-speed is not available yet, so not sure what specifications it has and how much power it can withstand. Need something that can hold 600tq

IMO,
If you are worried about Warranties at all, take the Engine and have it Fired, Broken in, and Tuned on an Engine Dyno.
Just saves any finger pointing, he said...she said stuff later, if anything were to go wrong ?

Good point, one thing is that I need the hand-held unit that they didn't provide me with to actually dyno the engine. Without hand-held unit I can't really dyno it, since I don't know what setup they did. *Which eventually will have to buy anyways.

That would be nice, but I bought it separetly already and it's on the car, just waiting for the transmission. But I shouldn't have to in the first place.

Reminds me of the time the switch on my girlfriend's Iron went bad. only a year old.. I fix TV's for a living, a piece of cake repair.... Black & Decker would NOT sell me a switch. I went to WalMart where the iron was probably bought originally. Purchased another comp iron and swapped switches and sent the new iron back as defective
