Car won't start, shows "fuse" on dash?

Car won't start, shows "fuse" on dash?
I don't have much details since it's an hour from here on campus with my daughter...
But she says it won't start and displays "fuse" on the dash.
I told her to replace the starter fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
Good call? If that's not it, which other fuses could be broke and where are they located?
2002 Neon. Thanks in advance for your help! I would hate to have to drive an hour and back just to replace a fuse
