Drum brakes for 64’ Sport Fury

Just installed new rear brake shoes and springs. Everything is installed correctly but the drums won’t go back on. The shoes are touching the upper pin, and the adjuster is all the way in. The drums fit with no problem when I remove the adjusters. Also the parking brake is not engaged. I’m at a loss.

Sounds like the wrong size shoes... May have been missed boxed

be sure the e-brake cable has returned all the way. back the adjuster off completely and pull the cable back to see if that helps. Move the shoes up and down against the pins to help center the shoes in the drum.
