gen 3 hemi swap

gen 3 hemi swap
I have a 1983 w150 prospector power ram and it has a 67 318 in it. I striped the threads on the water pump bolts I tried re tapping the bolts and putting a helo coil in with no luck, the engine in it has unknown miles and we know the miles are up there. My idea is to put a gen 3, 5,7 hemi in it. Just wondering if there is a check list out there that I can check as I go along or what will I have to do? The truck is a 4 speed stick and 4x4 and I would like it to stay that way. The truck has no ac right now but the original motor had it I think.
Thanks in advance,
Nathan

I'm just so happy people actually are helping me! But I ran into an issue the Hot Rod Magazine article mentioned an A388 transmission. My equipment identification sheet does not have any of the transmissions that the article brings up? the equipment identification has the NP435 transmission. The A833 the same thing as the NP435 but missing 4wd? What would I need for a 5.7 Hemi to bolt up to a NP435?
Again thanks so much for helping me out!

I personally would like to build a gen 3 but I'm so vested in big blocks that it doesn't make sense dollar wise to switch. If you look on YouTube there are trucks with the swap done, check it out.

I found a 360 magnum out of a Dakota R/T. I will be using this motor instead of a hemi 5.7 because there are no totaled ones for sale in my area. I know that the 3/4 ton 2nd gen trucks had manuals but will I still have issues with my transmission. What do I need to do to convert a automatic engine a Manual? Will I also need an adapter plate?
