Think about it
I can deal with Wolves,
you guys forgot the name of my company.
Anyway, got with Eastwood products today. They will get back with me for the process to take after the media blasting.
Motor and tranny scheduled for rebuild, check.
I guess before this media thing takes place,
there is going to be some hard and heavy thinking for
course of action.
My plan to go along with the "bag and tag" everything is to use
a "documenting" process to clearly mark and load information
into a manageable form. A DATABASE.
The information and knowledge I need takes people over 40 years of hard work and experience to accumulate. I will use many ways to do this, hopefully, with a little help, I can move forward.

This last post is what I would like to see, something about the car on this CAR FORUM!
I've heard all I want to about your business, I don't fully read your posts when I see line after line of none car related stuff, and multiple posts repeating what you've said before.
Your starting to push people away, not draw them in.

Thank you Coronet
Well, your right.
The car is scheduled to begin work this coming week.
Motor pull to start, this will give the motor to my motor man to begin the rebuild. At the same time the tranny will be rebuilt.
Now as the pictures show, since the car underside, especially the brakes and suspension is so encrusted with rust, I am planning on the media blasting in a surgical way. yeah, it would be great to pull every single piece off the car, pop the body and do a complete routerissie blastdown. My NORWEGIAN friend mentions that if media blasting takes place it is very collaterally distructive because the media gets into every nuck and cranny.
I am not sure on my way forward after the motor and tranny comes out.
I guess the very next step is to get the car back to my shop and remove everything from the engine well.
My motor man is very good and not just a motor man, he specializes in motors, but does all the other work also.
I will wait for his advice before commiting to an actual plan of action.

Very well said!
No more business, sponsorship talk even your charity drive in 2017, just your CAR and the work you're doing to it, this is what automotive forums are for! I would start a build thread on your car and let this one die, R.I.P., as it does you more harm than good. I am sure in doing this you will get positive feedback and input on your project, I KNOW YOU WILL FROM ME!
This thread has been one long miserable infomercial, and it sucks!
I hope you will think about it, thanks

The wrench has turned
Ok, I went to my day job, got off work and went right to it.4pm.
First place I stopped was autozone.
Picked up a can of PB blaster, a socket and breaker bar for the spark plugs.
Then I went to Home Depot and picked up some little plastic containers of various sizes. Also went to the electrical section and got a pad of wire markers, great for sticking on parts to ID them. Got some paint sticks also for marking parts in place so I know exactly where they sat in place.
Then I went to Publix and bought a bunch of envelopes, small and large to hold parts in, also found more little plastic containers, through them in my basket and hauled butt.Bought a bunch of sharpies and labels to use on the containers. I am going to make sure I adhere to the tag and bag and containerize all parts coming off the Charger.Went by Charger, took a bunch of pictures, sprayed a lot of bolts with the PB magic.
Went home, got out of my hospital whites and threw on some jeans.
Grabbed my tools and went back to the charger.
Took more pictures and then stood back and decided what to do first.
I decided the first thing was that the radiator needed to come out.
First snafu was that I couldn't get a wrench on the lower bolt holding the radiator in place. The 7 inch wheel pully from the power steering was in the way. It had to go.Took off the nut on the shaft, a funny looking nut,
and of course that did nothing, another type of washerlike nut was holding it place.Since all the belts have to come off, I took more pictures to show where the belt went on the other pulleys and cut it off.Man was it rotted.
But still was clear the MOPAR sign and the number of the belt. Bagged it and pushed on. Close quarters, skinned and bloody knuckles but the wheel wasn't going anywhere. Got an extension for my socket wrench, put it on the radiator bolt and bingo.Although heavily rusted, it came right out.Two more did the same thing. The radiator was free except for two tube fitting, I presume the transmission cooling lines, took an open end wrench to them, and great, they came undone easily.A red fluid poured out as I disconnected the lines, so I guess that is tranny fluid. I was pleased to see the fluid come out, remarklbly clean, snapped one of the tubelines, but, that's to be expected.Last thing to disconnect was the lower radiator hose, top one was gone.Took my knife, cut right through and a bunch of water came out, a little rusty color, but, no particles of rust. Great. I then lifted the radiator out and completed my objective.
It may not sound like pulling the radiator out is not a big deal, but, for me,it was quite satisfying.I am sure I will come across nuts and bolts that don't move, but, today was a baby step forward.

Just a few questions
1) Is it ok to pull plugs and spray PB Blaster inside?
2)There is a big bolt on a pully on the bottom pully, what size is it?
I have been told, that is the bolt to try and turn to see if the engine is froze up or not.
Tomorrow I will attempt to pull the carberator, radiator fan, condenser coils(like a big radiator). The pully attached to the power steering reservoir spins freely, good sign I presume.
I want to clear a way to get to the water pump.Pull the A/C compresser and anything else to give me more space.

Holy cow, my head is spinning.
BeepbeeoJEEP:
If you want to post stuff up about your site, do so in the vendor section of classified.
You want help, advise, comments, etc. about your car, life, etc. then you follow normal member rules.
Start a new thread about the restoration as it looks like something a lot of people here would like to see, follow and help advise on.

You guys kill me
Took Charger to my motor man. Rebuild in progress.
He said motor and tranny fine,
but I should get a donor car to go with motor,
he says the MaltFalcon is too far gone.
You know how I feel about being a loser.
The MaltFalcon will FLY again.
Your right Coronet, I have blood in the Charger,
and sweat in this forum.
Have a nice day

This forum has been more than tolerant of this thread, it's only been sense opinions were asked for that any comments were shared.
No one is a hater just because they give you an opinion different from yours.
I think you have been shown great restraint, so there's no need to be negative.
This thread needs to disappear.
