hi to all
New guy here, hi to all.Have a story to tell and some questions for you experts. I was shooting clays sunday,one of the guys i shoot with is a farmer, hes allways talking about the car his neighbor has in his field next to him,says he thinks its some kind of old chrysler, hes not a car guy.i said ide follow him home and we will look at it.we walk behind the barn through the cow sh$t, and i see this car looks like a belvedere body from a distance,we get closer, i see the road runner tag on the side,well i crawl under, onto and inside taking numbers off it.i ran numbers, its a j car original hemi. its rough but no a basket case, motor and driveline will need redone, as will the entire car.the cars not forsale but im gonna try and get it,my question, whats my starting number and how high to go, and whats a restored RR worth, the guy who owns it bought this car new.thanks billy, ps cars a 68 4 speed original paint & color

welcome Billy, sounds like you have found a very sought after car there. Hemi Road Runners are very hard to find. I am not sure what the car is worth without seeing it, do you have any pics? If restored right and completely original, you could prolly get close to $100,000 for it. Correct me if I am wrong on that anyone.

X2 on the pics. how much rust/rot is there? Does the car turn over? How is the glass? Is everything there? There are more questions to ask but a lot of how much you are going to spend is all up to you. I'd ask the guy "if you would be willing to sell it, how much would you ask for it?" and go from there.

dont have pics, just found it sunday, i was surprised that the car is solid as it is,heads are off,intake and carbs are off and in the trunk.glass is all there,im just stuck on a starting price to offer, if i can get that far.
