Married Mopar owners

okay this is what I have for a problem Im not married but am kind of love struck with a woman and a 69 Charger that is for sale up the road and lets make this clear its the car thats for sale not the woman though it may be someday lol. I have a 72 road runner that i half own with my father but it dont seem to be getting any where with it. I want my own car but this woman of mine sees other things besides a 440 charger in the garage how do you married men get away with getting these cars.

easy, get it before you get married. also helps to have parts shipped to work using a paypal account. selling stuff on ebay and letting the sit in the paypal is the married equivalent of a swiss account.

remember this, if she busts ***** now - it will get worse once she gets the ring...

if they aren't already into cars, the only thing she'll do with her hand is turn it over to look at her watch... and scowl

How do I say this politically correct????????

Grow a set of gonads and buy the car!!!!!!!! I understand love and I love my wife dearly. But she knows that racing was a part of my life before she was. She had never been to a race before. Now she attends EVERY race with me and is a great crew chief.... Guess I'm spoiled... But I just don't understand being told that you can't buy something by someone else.... I understand not taking food from the family or shelter.... I just don't understand.........

Once you get married, you're going to find out the woman you're married to isn't the one you've been dating. Both of you will change once you're married, and neither of you are going to change to be what the other wanted you to change to be. If you (or she) feels that changes need to be made in order to be the person they want you to be, it's not going to work. You each have to love and accept each other for what you are, not what you'd like them to be.

Get the car. If it drives her away, it shows that she values control or material more than she loves you. Talk to her first, make sure she knows how much you want the car. But by the same token, if you love her more than the car, be ready to give up the car to keep her. Hard choices in life huh?

Tell her that it's your money and you'll spend it on what you want.

I pay all the bills that I need to every month and if I buy something and Heather give me **** about it, I tell her that all the bills are paid and it's my money. If she wants to give me money, then I'll spend it her way.

Yep. X2

My wife is very supportive of my car hobby, but she also knows I have my priorities in order.

I got no marraige experience whatsoever at all but if it were me, I'd buy the car. I think thats basically what everyone on here has said. If she can't live with the fact that you love cars and want to get this car then she is the one with issues, not you.

I'm with John on everything!!! It dont get better! First it will be the "house" that is more important than a toy for you, then it will be the the kids, or HER kids if she comes with some.[Another HUGE mistake I made!] Asking for what you want will make you a "bad" husband in her eyes and EVERYONE else she talks to! Lets see HER w-2 and fico score first and see what she brings to the table! Hows her ***? Remember, the DONT get smaller. Sorry, I'm just bitter. Save yourself! My wife hasnt held a real job since I married her.

Buy everything you want without her knowing it. Even a House,if it's all paid for before you get engaged. Make her sign a prenuptial agreement to where she can't touch anything. 23 years of marriage and I have to fight for everything.
