Matching Numbers or No Marching Numbers?

Matching numbers is extremely important to a purist, particularly at the current cost of an original Hemi car. With that being said, how much does a replaced engine affect the value of a car? Fusion Motor Company currently has a 1971 Hemi Cuda for sale. The engine is not original to the car and the billboards were later added. Is this car still worth $479,900 even with a replaced engine?

dad always said - a car is only worth what a person is willing to pay for it I feel it only makes a difference if your buying it to resell it to make a profit. Sure its nice to have the original drivetrain but it wouldn't stop me from buying something. What about the pre 68 cars? no such thing as "numbers matching"
