Hey folks, I am looking at a 1970 Charger near Dallas,Tx and wanted to get opinions on how you guys would have a car inspected out of state. I know a little but not enough to know if I am buying a mechanical lemon. Car looks beautiful and all but its a long way home to Kansas City if I misjudge this car. What would you guys do?
Thanks so much!

If the car is $10,000.00, air fare to fly in and inspect it yourself is less than 5% of the sale price at $400.00. If the car is only a couple thousand, take a chance and buy it. If it is not what you planned you could flip it or part it. Another option is to call a local dealer (might have to call a few) and offer to pay them for an inspection. There are collector car dealers all over the country that make a living both selling cars and acting as agents for other buyers. Are there any local MOPAR clubs in the area? Maybe another enthusiast in the area might be willing to look at it for you. I have done this myself for members on other forums I frequent.
Always tougher to buy a car from outside our own neighborhood. Good luck, the chase can be as rewarding as the purchase!
