Question NEED HELP!!

I got a problem. The other day I was pulling my car out of the driveway when it died on me. I Tried to restart it and nothing. I checked for spark and it looked kinda weak and i saw that the points were bad. I replaced the points with electronic ignition and now it gets good spark. I go to start the car and it still dosent start. I thought maybe carb was dirty so i cleaned the carb out and tried to restart and still no luck. I put some gas down the top of the carb to see if it would start and it wouldnt. Any ideas what could be wrong? The car is a 65' coronet. What can i check or do? please help

There were no ugly noises before it died ? If it just died like it was shot, I'd say your problem is electrical, I'd check the usual suspects like grounds etc.

My fuel filters not plugged. gas goes freely through it. I dont know about the timing. How do i check this? Can it just get untimed like that? It was running real good before it just died.

make sure your distributor is tightened
check your timing using a timing light and shign it to the crank balancer
it'll have marking on it
are you running mopar orange box electronic ignition?
make sure all wires are tightly in place

crank the engine by hand to top dead center, and make sure the distibutor is pointing to the number one cylinder

sounds like when you switched distributors (im assuming you did) i would make sure you put it back in the right place and after you check that i would try starting fluid and maybe you saturated the plugs so you might want to change them out

yeah luckily i had another plunger laying around. The timing is good so now i think its the plugs. I had these plugs with my old carb that ran really rich and i looked at them and their black so i think their fouled out. Ill replace them and see what happens. Can plugs foul out while driving?

if the car is off, it is impossible to foul plugs
but, if at idle, and the carb was running extremely rich, then it is possible
