WHen I was doing the racing for fun. I liked to go to terminal Island I could make
6 runs before noon. At Pomona Street legal I was lucky if I could get one run before noon, too many cars..

Yaaa... Brother Hood Raceway was one of the best "Run What You Brung" spots. We just to call it "Terminal Junk Yard"...lol Had a great time there. A couple fist fights all the times i was there.... Big Willie kept things in good order.
Sorry to see that place fold under the big corporate operations of money.

I also did some of the Street Legals at Pomona... Good times... Did lots of other racing there also.

I Had lots of fun at all the other local tracks also.... OCIR, Palmdale, Bakersfeild, Fontana, Barona, Irwindale, Carlsbad, Vegas, ect, ect, ect.
Sooooooooooo Many Good times......... Sooooo Many good friends.....

I have been truly blessed in this Sport....

sound like TONS more fun than MY family. every one here tells me how to take care of mom. i have thought it might take me at least a mo to move, most likely 2. i really dont want to move. the people i rent from are like the family i want to have. i need to find a guy to carry stuff for me. i cant do to much work or body parts start hurting. when i get the computer moved that will just be the start of moving stuff hoping before Friday.

Carlsbad did not have a lot of amenities but was a good track. I remember changing a fuel pump in my Volare in the Escondido PepBoys parking lot one time. Progress got to it like so many other tracks. Used to see Big Willie & his wife at Zodys, Friday nights. He had a superbird that had a rough life..

Carlsbad was some fun stuff..... If you missed the turn out, You had to go all the way to the end, that dead ended into the mountain and turn around and come back against race traffic to the out side...Fun having another car wiz by you...lol

These are from back in the 6000-6500 H.P. Fuel Days.... Notice the Stuck Rings... This Piston in Collapsed...
But let me tell you... Big Bad Brad Anderson Build's some good stuff...

Lynn, You remember when he was up across from "Pomona" don't you?
Funny thing is I worked over at a Chassis Shop over on 1st. back in them days. Just around the corner from the dragstrip and Andersons Shop. I got to work on lots of cool stuff... , Winged Express, Darel Gwynn, Bud King, Pure Hell, Black Magic AA/FA, Super Gas Roadsters, Door Cars, Pro Mods, Street Rods, off road trucks, Learned lots of stuff over at that shop.....

Thats for sure.... AS you can see the Charge has aged and like Willie, was not in too good of health... This was I think 2010... But as you know Willie has passed on...
