Scott, I used POR-15 a lot on my camaro, I painted the engine, subframe, and the trunk pan, it works great- expensive and there is another item out that call RPM - http://ecsautomotive.com/rpm.php and here is a MOPAR thread about it- http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...0&fpart=1&vc=1 I would look at this IMO. Hope it helps? As for sounderner I used HUSH MAT which was nice.

POR-15 works well, but if you get it onto any threaded holes you will need to chase them prior to installing a fastener. Failure to do so will result in broken bolts.

The surface needs to be clean of all debris and oils before putting it on.

If you got surface rust or you are covering rust I think you need to remove any loose rust with a wire wheel first. It will come with some good directions on the can.

yeah dont get it on your self anywhere. it will take weeks to get off your skin. i once got it in my hair doing the underside of a 65 mustang and had to get my hair cut.

POR 15

After reading the attached post, I went to Ace hardware and got some of the Rust Stop paint. I used it and it is just like POR 15. Available in many colors in pints, quarts and gallons.
Quite a savings at $10.00 a quart.
