Snow Methanol Injection Kit

Snow Methanol Injection Kit
I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever heard of Snow Methanol Injection or have installed a kit, i am looking into getting one for my 440, problem being it is a high compression, over 11:1 for sure and cannot get gas good enough and even buying premium and using octane boost i still get alot of knocking, severe enough to keep off the throttle, have tried different gas, changing the timing and adjusting the carb, yes it helps some but not enough so have thought about buying one of these kits from Snow, if anyone has any information or has tried this kit please tell me the good and the bad, thanks for all the help.

Hi -
11:1 should be do-able on pump gas. You might have the timing too far advanced, or something else can be going on.
The snow kit is nothing new, I used an Edelbrock Vari-jection kit (same idea, but with 1980's technology) back it the day. While the idea is sound, how much of a difference it made was questionable.
With the snow kit, you will have to do a bit of retuning (timing / carb) and keep a supply of water/methanol on hand. You can use straight water, but the water/alcohol seemed to work better.
Back in the day, I'd just retard the timing for the street and at the track, advance it some and use a race fuel blend.
