Agreed. Same happened to us awhile back.
Found out later these guys were trolling during spring clean up days when everybody puts out their big junk. They were actually looking in every open garage then came back during the week to steal high dollar items.
Being a tradesman, nothing makes me angrier than someone stealing a man's tools, and usually they sell it for pennies on the dollar for some addiction fix.

Man, Sorry to hear that Lynn... I got it a while back for a couple of grand after it was all said and done. Really hurts like Dan was saying.. Someone about a week ago jacked us for a latter. It doesn't sound like much but when you use it everyday and then have to take it out of your own pocket to replace it. It really F'ing hurts.. Just sad how people have to be... A-Holes
The big thing around here now days, these guys are jacking the white trademans work vans and all the equipment... Just not rite....
I feel your pain Lynn....

Now that I'm on SS it really hurts.. Funny hey didn't take any wrenches that I can tell. They even left me with my 3/8 12 point deep socket that I bought in the 70's Those of you in the know, know what that is for.. Time to hit the swap meets. Bought a cheap set at Harbor Freight for now, they are cheap too...It's my old TV repair shop, they broke the side door too...

I just watched a video on Facebook tonight. It was a security camera video of a couple stealing the brick sidewalk in front of a guys store. He went to open his store this morning and his sidewalk was gone. Keep an eye on craigslist in your area, they may try to sell your tools there.

Problem is it is all stuff that would be hard to identify.. Unless they try to do something with the torque wrench they took. It had a removable head To reverse direction for torque - a military issued that I got from a friend maybe 40 years ago
