Torker II Manifold

I have a Torker II Manifold on my 440 and have a good cam plus ported heads and what have you, I am thinking of changing out the Torker II to something else....What can I get that will give me more HP?

More HP = taller manifold = cutting a hole in the hood

I have about 3.5 in more room between my hood and the top of my air cleaner.

Saw a manifold shootout and the Victor looks like a winner. Mopar Muscle did the comparo and the Victor beat the other entries (including other Edelbrock entries) by a fair margin. Thinking of ordering one myself.

No, that comparo is for a stroked 383, the one I'm talking about was done on a hot 440. The Victor won in both torque and hp. After reading the description on Edelbrocks site it doesn't look like it would be real happy on the street. I might still try one, I have a feeling putting one on a hot 500" motor would move the power band down to something less silly.

The more "HP", the odds are the more low end response you'll loose.
Dual planes work best for the street and single plenum, curved runners produce more high RPM HP, providing the rest of the engine can move enough air.

Yep a victor seems like a winner for raw HP. I don't think you'll need that much manifold as that's a hydraulic cam & the lifter will chew up a bit of that lift. I think the eddy rpm air gap is a good choice. A good combination of parts that works well together is always better than big top end. Took me 17 years for it to sink in.

I've been reading about manifolds all night & it seems -that your torker2 is about right for your set up. Torker 2 , Mopar m1 , holley street dominator , & eddlebrock rpm air gap are the best mid to top end manifolds. It seems the victor needs big cid & or high rpms compression & cam to go with it. Type into Google Mopar manifold test there's hours of reading there.
