Question weird pops

when your going around 50-60 in my 03 dodge ram it feels like its popping or something. it dosent make any sounds just jerks you in little pops. The truck has 200000 miles. COuld it be the tranny or motor? It does this as you accelerate, when you going slower or faster than 50-60 its fine.

I could be alot of things, is the pop a noise or is it moving you in the seat. That will narrow it down a little.

Is it a 4-wheel drive?

try cleaning the throttle body completely including the throttle position sensor and iac. they are pretty sensitive, and the truck will run crappy if they are dirty. also check if you are throwing any codes. not sure if this is an option in the 03's - if you put the key in and turn it back and forth from off to the on position, on the 5th on position your odometer will read "done" and give you any codes that are present.

There may be a little flat spot in your TPS, but I would first go with a general tune up and go from there. The usual, plugs, wires and see if the pop is still there. Keep us posted, we'll help if we can.

What motor do you have in it? Tranny (auto or manual)?

Most likely is but I have a friend a few towns over who's father has an 03 Ram 1500 2wd with a 3.7 and manual, hence why I asked about motor and tranny.

Plus John has a 1500 with a 4.7 and manual as well.

Clean the TB, IAC, and TPS really good.

have you noticed a difference in your gas milage since this started happening? Or a random skipping?

after the truck is all warmed up, at stop lights and such - do you notice a rough idle at all, even slight?

well the first day the truck wasnt running so good again and the check engine light came on, i checked the engine and there was a hose i forgot to connect, reconnected it and reset the comp. and it is running good now, but now it feels like its idling too low and dies sometimes when you get off the gas to slow down.
