Not the fastest or the coolest. Just the one that was the most fun to cruise.
Mine was my 1966 Belvedere. 4 doors with faded thrashed paint and not one body panel that wasn't dented. Slant six and an automatic. For what it lacked in looks and performance it was the party wagon.. You could not kill this car. That old 6 cylinder would always start, I had to rebuild the carburetor but that was about it. You could put 6 people in it easy. Everyone wanted to ride in it. I had a new Corvette and nobody wanted to take that out. They liked the old Belvedere.
And parking was no problem. I could care less where I parked it. What? Someone's going to ding my door? . Who cares? Look at it. It's already all smashed up..
I really had a lot of fun in that car. I should have never sold it. I sold it to some sketchy guy. Then I got a letter from the Sheriffs Dept. Apparently it had been used in an armed robbery.
I’d say my Volare has been my favorite Mopar along with my 77 Adventure pick up, I’ve had the Plymouth for thirty five years and I had the pick up twenty five years.
what l like about the Volare is it makes a good drag car even Chrysler said so they just knocked it because it didn’t have a big block. I also got a kick out of the bad rap the Volare got even with the Mopar fans so having a street/strip Volare that ran tens in the quarter was a hoot!!! I don’t plan on racing much myself but my grandson can if he wants the old 500” bullet has a much smaller cam in it now and runs on E-85 and still makes 650 hp but I’ve opened the rings up for spray or maybe a little boost, I’d like to see it accidentally run a few nines. Now that would be fun.

I think a 10 second Volare would be a real kick in the pants. Something that you don't see everyday. I can't even remember the last time I even saw one. I almost got a black Aspen R/T back in the late 70's. But the guy decided that he didn't want to sell it after all. Bummer. I had a Aspen or Volare company car back then. ( can't remember which) It was an ugly 4 door. Looked like a cop car but it was comfortable It had great A/C and a big bench seat. I'd park it under a shady tree with the A/C running and take a nap. Unfortunately the company replaced it with a Chevette..That thing was a piece of junk. No more naps for me
17 years old: 1966 Chrysler Windsor 4 Door Hardtop. Young and stupid cruising with my pals in a rusted out luxury bomb was crazy fun.
55-64 years old: 1995 3500 V10 Dually. This one has towed all my snowmobiles to give me my best, most fun I have had in my life. We call it Douglas, and he takes the camper track side where we sit on the roof to watch the fuel cars, which is happening this coming weekend at Grand Bend Motorplex IHRA Canadian Nationals, now that's fun right there.
This is not my 66 Belvedere. I have no pics of it. Mine was way more beat up . And I mean waaaay more beat up. It had been rode real hard and put away wet. But it was the same color. That car was a blast to cruise. And it never failed me.. 4 doors are like fat girls and mopeds. They don't look so hot but they can be a lot of fun.
