what oil should i run

what oil should i run

la 318, its been using a little bit and it seems worse with the warm weather(i hope thats why) i run 5w 30 in it, could that be why its using it? should i run a 20-30? HEEEUULP!

I run 20w50, but that may be a bit thick for a 318. 10w30 would probably be a good bet.

5W-30 is a good oil for winter use. Come spring time, I would switch it over to a 10W-30 or 10W-40.

If the motor has been rebuilt, I would run diesel oil as it has the zinc these older motors and cams like.

Run 10w-30 and a pint of lucas, works for me (my dodges dont use oil though, neither of them I use the lucas in the ford works great)

i run only strait weight in my old mopars, 30 in the winter 40 in the summer,
