Thumbs up why chrysler rocks!

1st to break hp to cubic inch.
1st to use electronic ignition
1st to break 200 mph
273-440 same starter
no need to pull the distributer to change intakes like chitty.
if you need to change the dizzy it can only be "in" or 180 out
bolt down the rockers and go! no messin with lash, unless its a hemi, 273, or poly,
big blocks: no need for a 4 bolt main cuz the crank sits low enough in the block.
big blocks: oil pump a 10 minute change.
im sure thers way more than i mentioned please add!!
only things i dont care for..
cannot put a 318 crank in a 360..(bore it 40 over got a 340)
external balanced should of made the all internal
big block, small block tranny's dont interchange would make life a lil easier
they made awsome cars in the 60's and early 70's that cost too much today (for a guy with a "K" car budget!

One of my favorite Chrysler features is the "high impact" colors. Due to this, the guys you beat racing could see you from far away and turn off a few blocks early and go hide from you. It saves them a lot of embarassment!

Chrysler is King and always will be, when they hit the 1cid / 1hp mark we thought we died and went to heaven, up untill then engines were just big heavy lumps of metal making 200 hp if you were lucky .... then it just went through the roof with power, was good times hot rodding for me back then and makes me happy to see people in the same mode 50 years later

How about the Factory involvement in racing... Just in Drag Racing they produced factory build cars back in the mid 60's. Then came the mighty Hemi Darts and Barracudas in '68 and now the 2009 and 2010 Challenger Drag Pak cars...... No other car manufacturer can say that!!!!!!

i guess i should say they sit higher in the block. theirs plenty of webbing around the mains that there is no need of 4 bolt mains. .non of my blocks are here with me they are all 40-50 miles away or id take picks to show what i mean. a small block could benifet from 4 bolt mains.

I remember we were crying over loosing the 426 wedge but it was the 440 that replaced it and man it was a tuff motor from the word go, then they put a six pack on it and that in a GTX in 69 was pure evil and super fast.

are you saying that since there is more metal around them, less vibration gets to the crank, hence making it safer towards the higher rpm?
