ZDDplus
i have been using ZDDplus for about 6 years. this is one of those products that you may not see the help till you got 150,000 miles on the car. my girl friend has a 1999 S-10. high miles. so the other day she had to make a long trip. the oil was down 1/2 QT. so i put 4 OZ of ZDDplus in. when she came back she said that the engine was quieter. just think 4 OZ in a full oil pan makes a diff. zddplus@kirbanperformance.com
dont know the engine in the S-10. that whole no Zinc thing is a bunch of nonsense. i tend to like thicker oil. seams to not caused any trouble. i run Valvoline Premium Blue® Diesel Engine Oil, 15W-40 diesel. it is the factory fill for Dodge truck diesel engine. seams to work good in my 01 dakota. V6.
I run 5W30 in the winter and a 15W40 in the summer.... I change it every 3000 miles... My old 1977 Dodge 360 "Magnum" motor has done ok with it... She will get a freshen up around 100,000 mile weather she need it or not...Bearings, rings, and a oil pump. Then touch up the valves and seat maybe a spring or 2..Freshen up the trans. And Move back out on the road.. Thats what I do.. But I'm going to get to old too do it this way sooner or later...lol
Nope... You sure Dont! "on the have to side of it"....
But for me... it puts the oil Pressure Gauge Rite where I like to see it.. And I sure Dont see anyone else driving there 1977 as a daily driver 365 days a year like I do..
But thats just me..

as far as oil in the crankcase. when you burn gasoline you make all most as much water as you burn gas. if any water gets in to crankcase. thats what acids are based on. so the hotter you run the engine the less water you have in the crankcase.
