1971 Duster The Project Begins.......
Alright guys, I been promising pics, they are all up on the album. After pulling the sending unit today, and cramming a drill bit through all the gunky crap that had the tube plugged solid, my Dusters officially a runner. Took it for a quick spin down the road I found it on, ran through the gears, brakes worked, and it runs pretty dang well for sitting for 17 years. Had to put some tires on 3 out of 4, they were pretty dry rotted.
As it is in the pictures, its pretty dirty, but bear in mind, thats after wiping 6+ inches of fir needles and cr@p off of it to get down to the car. Ill pressure wash it in a few days. I have alot of other pics, mainly of the BAD areas, but the rear quarters are free of rust, I was amazed.
Looks like Ill be needing the trunk deck, drivers door, both front fenders, and some rust removal, but its really not that bad at all. All comments welcome, and ill post pics as I work on it.
