Yeah there were the usual Stangs, Camaros Challengers and fart can cars doing their little "look at me" thing as they left, but the most wonderful thing happened as they got down the road a little bit. Hidden from view by a rise in the road were about half a dozen of Memphis' finest and had more than a dozen of them lined up along the curb. Wish I'd seen it, but I go home in the opposite direction.

We have lost a couple of my favorite cruises due to this. The establishment owners just get tired and don't want the negatives associated with it . Only takes a few to ruin it for everyone

We lost one of the best cruise-in spots in town a few years ago due to an idiot. We were already on ice because after the musclecar / street rod crowd would start leaving around ten or so then the rice burner punks would roll in acting like they owned the place. They'd trash the place up, have rev contests being noisy and ended up chasing customers of the nearby stores away. The one that got us run off was two things that happened in the same night; one some nitwit on his crotch rocket pulled out onto the street and hammered it right into the side of a car. The other was later, a dude had just installed a remote start kit on his Mustang and was showing it off to his friends. Well he skipped a minor step- the neutral safety switch; when he hit the button he had it in gear, it started and jumped across the lane into the front of a '40 Ford Coupe. The next week when we started showing up there were cops at each entrance into the lot turning us around.

The obnoxious ones are always one good idea away from ruining it for everyone.
We have some Lexus and Honda rice burners at my apartment. I wake up to the sound of one of them trying to launch by dumping his clutch some nights. Haven't figured out who yet, though.
Worried that the property manager might not let modified vehicles park at the complex soon...

I've got a redneck neighbor with a Ram that has exhaust cutouts on it, kid just loves to drive down the street with the cutouts open doing about 40 in a 25 zone. Makes me wanna borrow some spike strips from a cop friend to throw out; be no trouble since I can hear him 3 blocks away...

Had a great morning at a newer C&C with a couple my fellow crusty Mopar buds... Nicer than most, sanctioned by the city of Bartlett and on city property which means the law is on site which means no jackassery....
