thanks guys, 78D200, im still not sure what i want to do with them, either chrome them, satin black, gloss black, or maybe paint them green but idk if that would be overkill

I wouldn't do black. Chrome would look good since you don't really have a lot of it on the motor. Green might be a little overkill but you have non on the motor.

When are you going to be dropping the motor into the car? That will be the time to decide. Take a picture of the motor in there with the intakes on and use a photoshop or even paint to see how it would look with different colors.

Have you decided what you are going to do with your valve cover yet?

no decision on the valve covers yet, they're at our chrome shop now getting stripped. depending how they come out i might just plate them while they're their, and the crossram is going to be polished

That oil pan is sitting kind of low. You going to raise the engine at all or are you not that worried about it?

As for valve covers, have you checked out the 440 source ones (I know there are other vendors that have these also)?

I think the natural aluminum would look good with the heads and intake or you could even go with their polished ones if that would match intake better.

thats not at ride height, ive got bigger rims and tires going on the front so it should come up at least and inch and half and ive checked out those valve covers and like them, there just to tall to fit under the intakes like every other cool valve cover

Do them the same green as the car. You have chrome headers, black vent(s), I'd do them green after all.

That's too bad the valve covers are too tall how about something like these? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku They say they are stock height...
