new kid
ya i like them chrome, im trying to get my old man to set up a chrome tank at our plating shop so i can do the intakes cause we dont have an aluminum set up, he's done it before for his car, i just gotta keep buggin him about it haha
and the decision was made, the rams are at powder coating now, i'm doing an ultra brite silver which is the closest thing to a shine like polished or chrome it looks pretty good. i was thinking green but i think it might be a green over kill, i wanna break it up a little. so soon as there back from that and the radiator and carbs come in shes ready to fire up!

got a call from the powder coater, wasnt a good call. the material on the intakes are so old when they coated them it was gassing up through the paint. so he said we could only do it in a solid color (no metalic) so i went with satin black. this will look the best i think compared to doing any other solid color. hopefully getting them tomorrow...im bummed
insane build man - love the style!! just joined the website and have uploaded pics of my 1970 770 Coupe - basically the hardtop 2 door version of the Chrysler Valiant! have a look at my album of the car in primer today - exact (near) image of your '68!! shaved & all. good luck with the end of your build!!cam
thanks, and your car looks awsome, your motor has a real nice look to it too.
more bad news on the intakes
, powder coat in general wont work cause of the intakes being so porse. so im just gonna have to take them back and just paint them with what i used on the hood and grill.

well they did something to get the powder coat to work, got em back today, came out good, some little pits but i cant complain. should be able to put the top end on for good tonight
very soon, the guy is hopefully coming this weekend to do all my fuel lines and fittings for free!(we plate all his fittings at our shop for free so he owes me haha) just gotta put the radiator in and finish up the carbs and intakes
haha i know i know. my original plans for this car was everything you see chrome was going to be copper and no chrome. when i plated the rear end housing and saw it in copper before the chrome it looked so dam cool. would of been different and cool i think, oh well theres always the next project
I know this is a stupid question but I have done it myself on my j10, did you install it in the right mounting location? Some radiator supports have multiple mounting locations because of the different size motors they came with required different size radiators.
