im not clear on the tabs your talking about, i never had to bend any intake gasket, if they were to be bent the factory would do it, 1 slight bend could cause it not to seal,

there are tabs at the ends of the head gaskets, that are in the way of the two end, intake gaskets...

Does anyone cut these tabs off for a better seal?

The tabs fit through the hole in the end seals an hold them in place. Removal will be of no benifit

The reason I am asking is that I don't use end gaskets for my intake. I am using an Edelbrock Air-Gap intake manifold and Edelbrock write that one should use RTV sealant instead of cork or rubber gaskets because of the smaller gap between the manifold and block. Therefore I think it would be easier til seal if the tabs were removed?

I would agree. I haven't used end seals since the mid 70's when RTV became popular
