727 torqueflight questions

Hey everyone. I'm new to 727 torquflight trans. I just had it rebuilt and now have to hook it up to the oil cooler. Any pictures and info would be helpful. Also I need to put oil in and a dip stick in. So any help in that area would be helpful as well. Thanks
P.S. there's a factory cast hole in the housing...

The dip stick tube hole should be on the passenger side and the tube just needs an o-ring to seal it. I like to lightly great it with some assemble lube so it slides in and seats better.

As for the lines, you can use hard lines or rubber depending on how nice you want it to look. I'm sure that there are some companies out there that sell chrome, polished, stainless steel and maybe even copper lines for this tranny that will fit your car.

Wing -

What Tim said. On my cooler, I just intercepted the tranny fluid exit line going to the radiator and routed it to the external cooler (in front of the radiator) with braided steel line. Then I went from the cooler to the tranny cooler in the radiator and back to the tranny. That way you're adding cooling capacity and not by-passing anything.

If you're using an aftermarket dip stick / tube, put the required amount of oil in the tranny and then make the stick.

Are you talking about this hole?

If so, that is where your dip stick tube goes.

On this pic, the red arrows are inline and outlet for the fluid (Not sure which is which), the blue is the neutral safety switch, I'm not sure what the yellow arrow is that I have there. Anyone know?
