79 omni still giving me problems when hot
Basic stock 79 omni, 1.7 carbureted engine with lean burn control computer.
We've replaced and/or tested just about every electrical component including the computer and carburetor. I finally gave up and took it to a real mechanic and he's baffled. The car starts fine, runs well, warms up, and quits. No spark. He thinks the lean burn computer may be overheating and shutting down. Is there any chance this is it? The hose from the computer to the air cleaner is hooked up.
This car is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance.

It could be that. I know that with the FSJs of the 80s, there is a module that when it gets to a certain temp, it just cuts out and the vehicle will stop running. You can start it back up once the module cools enough though.
