yeah you can do that, I think the only diff. in the block are the lifter bores are taller. The bores are at the same angle and they have the same diameter. you will have to use the corresponding pushrods. {the ones for hydraulic flat tappet LA style, if this is a magnum, might have to get them aftermarket}
Why do you want to change to the hyd. flat tappet?

well it is a la block with stock heads and i just started to rebuild the engine mildly and im pretty sure i need a new cam and lifters and all that but i dont have the money for a roller cam all the ones i found were expensive and im on a very limited budget
