making 300-400HP from a stock 440

I have been re-routed in my rebuild of a 78 440 bone stock. It looks like I have to break it down and get the block done.

With that said I'm looking ideally for 300-400HP with street manners. I was thinking:
  • 4 barrel
  • dual plane intake
  • 440 source heads/ or ??? suggestions
  • not sure if I should keep pistons and cast crank
  • HP exhaust manifolds
Kind of like a sleeper look under the hood with some Big *****!!! Any suggestions....

the 375 hp version of the 440, when converted to the new rating, comes out around 320
so, you dont need to do a lot
manifold
headers
low end cam (maybe)
if you go aluminum heads, you need to run a higher compression, but you would still be able to use pump gas
