chrysler 440 questions
i was wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the chrysler 440 engine? right now ive got my heart set on that engine, i love the way it sounds and im trying to build a show/track car with that as my engine, my power goals are around the 450-550hp mark so nothing outlandish there i dont think (basically a turn key crate motor or something) but the car im trying to put this into is a bit out of the ordinary....
what i need to know is roughly the minimum engine bay requirements (length, width, height) for a 440 engine with a march pulley system (or any serpentine system so that i can keep the power steering and such) and the dimensions for the radiator and fan, im expecting a very tight squeeze and a near complete rebuild of the chassis to accompany the swap and incorporate a full roll cage etc, if necessary a mid engine set up isnt out of the question either but i would prefer the engine in the front,
my other question is what standard transmissions fit best with that engine, and are the most durable? ive heard auto's are nice and consistent for drag cars but my outlandish plans are actually for creating more of a track vehicle so being able to select my gears is a must.
i have complete access at the machine shop i work for (including 5 axis capability and CAD/CAM software and a CMM machine) and theres enough welding shops around here and other contacts through the shop that no matter how crazy the build ends up being its all possible,
so thats starts the long list of questions, any helpful info is much appreciated
thanks

about 25" wide at the valve covers. About 30+ wide to the outside of the manifolds [exhaust]. About 30-32" tall {from the botom of the stock oil pan to the top of the stock air-cleaner} About 24" in length from the snout of the water pump to the mating surface of the trans bell-housing.
stock weight, a very hefty 670-700 lbs.!!
