Help With a Mid-70s 440 Question

I have a friend that claims he found an old 50s Dodge truck that is sporting a unmodified mid 70s cast crank 440, with a torqueflight 727, and the rear is from 72 Charger posi./sure grip
I cannot beleive that this combo would produce more than about 220HP at the wheels (at most). He says the owner claims the it is more like 350.

Could this be (and I am full of poop!)? I thought any mid 70s 440 was limited to around 225 HP max.

is the motor worked?
if it is, 350 is easy to get
i know for a fact that 72 and up, not sure how long after, was 280 hp to the wheels

67 GTX is right,it really depends on the year.Besides it is the torque that rules on the street,440's have a ton of it!

According to the seller it is not worked and my friend was only told it was mid-70s so I figured post 72 maybe as late as 75.

Ask for a pic of the casting numbers on the passenger side of the block and to see the dyno sheet.
